Ooooo I'm liking your blog! So glad I found it! I love "vintage" bread--something about it makes it sooooooooooo good. I'm a new follower--can't wait to read on! (would love a follow back too!) And happy W/W! Carolyn www.cookinformycaptain.blogspot.com
Slathered in real butter and home made strawberry jam! Such an integral part of my childhood. Mother made bread every other day to keep her 12 children fed and happy. We so looked forward to hot biscuits (rolls) at dinnertime. After I met my husband, he quickly learned which days were baking days and managed to show up at our house right at dinner time.
@Carolyn - I'm glad you like my blog, I'd like to do a link exchange with you because your blog is great too.
@Grandma 2 Many - I don't do strawberry jam too often however I'll be planting both dwarf Blueberries and Blackberries in the garden this year so there will be some of that made into homemade jam next year. As for baking I do it about twice a week and I switch between White Bread and Graham (White Whole Wheat) Bread.
@Fishlover - You'll be getting over here soon enough. I didn't think I baked bread that many times in the Philippines? You'll be learning when you're here :)

I can't think of anything better than freshly baked homemade bread!
ReplyDeleteAt the moment, I can think of nothing that sounds or looks - or would taste - better. I really wish I had some right now.
